If you’re planning to take your kids to see the Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween movie, be prepared for an unexpected scene. My warning is in the video below, so watch it, to see my Goosebumps movie warning for parents. Don’t be caught off guard, like I was.
Jay’s Goosebumps 2 Movie Warning for Parents
Here’s the short video that I made, after watching Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween, with my daughter. Heed my warning, and don’t go in unprepared!
Goosebumps Movie
The first Goosebumps movie got good ratings, and you can watch it on Blu-ray, before you go to the new Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween movie. Jack Black plays R. L. Stine, who is the author of the Goosebumps series.
The movie focuses on a teenager who moves to a small town, and becomes friends with R. L. Stine’s daughter, and discovers that the creatures in the stories are real!
Goosebumps Book Series
Thanks to the Goosebumps movies, my daughter found the books by R. L. Stine, and enjoys reading them. The Goosebumps series was first published from 1992 to 1997, by Scholastic Press, and my friends and I looked forward to getting the latest stories at the Scholastic Book Fairs at our school.
The Goosebumps books seemed scary to us, way back then, but my daughter and her friends don’t seem alarmed by the monsters, and other frightening creatures. Maybe they’ve seen so many horrible things on television, or in the news, that nothing fazes them now.
Anyway, this weekend, I found a few of the classics in a dusty box in my parents’ basement, so my daughter has new reading material. And it didn’t cost me anything! Well, I had to clean out a clogged toilet, but that’s a story for another day!

Goosebumps 2 Movie Warning
Here’s my poster for the Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween movie, and it gives you a clue about the warning in my video.
Beware the bears! Gummy is funny! Never leave your children alone with squishy, artificially-flavoured candy! Red and yellow are not flavours! Why is there a clear gummy bear?
If my poster doesn’t give you nightmares, it’s because you’ve watched too many Twilight movies, and you’re immune to the horrors of supernatural creatures. .
